Chalkboard Table Number Wine Bottle Craft

Updated November 13, 2018
Chalkboard Table Number Wine Bottle Craft

Whether you're throwing a dinner party or planning a wedding, you have to set the mood. This Chalkboard Table Number Wine Bottle Craft is quick and easy to make. Consider wine bottle decoration ideas for your next celebration - it's a great way to save money and cut down on your end-of-the-week recycling haul. Wine bottle centerpieces may not seem that exciting or innovative, but this project is truly unique. What makes this decorative DIY piece so special is the use of chalkboard stickers and liquid chalk. This seemingly small addition will give your wine bottles a shabby chic look that's cool and unexpected.

Materials List

  • Empty wine bottles
  • Chalkboard stickers
  • Martha Stewart Liquid Chalk
  • Martha Stewart screen printing stencils
  • Various ribbons, trims, and/or twine

Instructions:

  1. Soak the wine bottle and remove the labels.

  2. Use the stencils and liquid chalk to add the table numbers or sentiment of your choice. Allow that to dry.

  3. Peel the stickers off the backing and add to the wine bottle.

  4. Tie ribbons and twine to the top of the bottle at the neck.

  5. You can finish it off with flowers or leave it empty – it's up to you!

  6. Additionally, you can also just put the stickers over the wine bottle labels if you don’t want to mess with soaking them off in hot water.
