Pinecone Flower Heart Decoration

"Did you know that you can cut pinecones with secateurs to make them look like flowers? I gathered a collection of pinecones in various sizes from my local park. Bleached them to lighten them a bit. Then using acrylic paints in various shades of pinks and reds, I painted the pinecones to look like flowers. It's amazing they do really look like gorgeous flowers. I arranged these lovely flowers into a heart shape and mounted them in an IKEA shadow box frame for a lovely Valentine's decoration. I will, however, be keeping it on my wall all year round."
