Make something compact and useful out of a material that would have otherwise gone in the garbage. The Pill Bottle Survival Kit is a useful project to make. You'll be amazed by how many small but helpful items can fit into a pill bottle, making this the ultimate small survival kit. Include any and all of the following: mini fire starters, matches, a striker, bandages, medicine, safety pins, duct tape, and more. A survival kit this tiny easily fits into a purse or even pocket. You never know when such a compact kit may come in handy.

This pill bottle craft is the most practical I have found. It's the simplest idea to collect essential camping items in a small place you can easily carry in your purse or pocket. Plus you can customize the pill bottle with washi tape or paint it in a design your kids like.
