Note: These are sure to last you at least one planting season.

DIY Garden Markers

  1. Drill a hole in your cork right in the center.
Determine the size of the hole in your cork, depending on the wooden skewer you are using as your stake. You want to make sure your drill size is just slightly smaller than the size of your skewer.

  2. Insert your wooden skewer into your cork.

  3. Paint the cork using whatever color you would like. You will just need a thin coat.

  4. Let that dry for 10-15 minutes by sticking it in a glass so that it does not fall on it's side.

  5. Finally, once it is all dry simply use a marker to write what plant you are pairing your marker with!

I love how genius these are. Of course, this means I have to drink more wine. And who doesn't love that?

These quick and easy wine corks are a super great idea to use to make garden labels that will last. I like how it is different than the flat plain ones you buy. It gives the garden some character. I think I may add a smile or some eyes on mine too. This will even look great in house plants too. Thanks for the video and tutorial.
