Rather than purchasing wine glasses for each unique occasion, you can customize wine glasses you already own simply by adding slippers to them. This is one of the easiest sewing tutorials you'll make and it's great for beginners learning how to sew round shapes.

  • Christmas fabric
  • Felt
  • Sewing machine

Instructions

  1. First trace around the bottom foot of your wine glass using a chalk marker on your Christmas fabric and felt. You’ll have 3 circles all the same size. 

  2. Fold the Christmas fabric circles in half and line the round edges against the round edges of the felt..... so the fold is in the middle. 

  3. Next sew around the edge of the circle. 

  4. Turn inside out and slip it on your wine glass. There you have it! A festive wine glass slipper.

Take a look at this. Wine glass slippers. What a fantastic idea these are and such a very easy project. I can see these made for everday use not just Christmas. A great way to dress up the glasses when hosting a dinner too. This is also a great way to use up scraps. I know I will be making these for gifts for sure.
