I love old books but I wouldn't tear the pages unless they were literally falling apart. I love this idea because so many books these days are in digital format so if you had an old copy that got damaged then this is how you can repurpose it. I'd sprinkle some gold glitter or just spray paint the tips of the leaves gold. There so much you can do with them.

I adore the look of book pages for decorations. I love using them to make wreaths, picture frames, and garlands, but now I have a new use for my thrift store finds. I would love to use this idea to make a garland for an indoor topiary or as a mantle garland. I think it would go well with the books that you can cut into shapes like pumpkins.

Wow you have used this techinque in many ways. I would love to see it done in a wreath. Do you have a picture? It looks like a lot of fun and this book page fall leaves looks nice on the table.I will be searching the thrift stores for some books. I bet it will look great on your topiary as a garland.

I am book collector and have tons of antique and vintage books at home. While some of them are in great condition,( I will not touch them for any project,) there are some old and broken and not really useful to any one. That is why I think this project(or more projects with book pages) will do a favor to not able to use for any thing books. Is great project to use papers laying around.

I find it incongruous to say that book lovers will love this craft. The book lovers I know wouldn't tear up a book for decor or any other reason. I have, however, found a substitute. I have a scrapbook-paper page with pseudo writing on it. When I need a "book" page, I just copy it with my computer and proceed.
