Lace is one of the most exquisite details on most garments, and when you use this material to make a princess crown, you will be one classy lady. Don't forget glitter, and let your light sparkle. This tutorial requires only a few basic materials you likely already have on hand. Collect lace leftover from a previous project, fabric stiffener, and your favorite sparkly paints to create your crown. This would be a darling birthday party craft for all your little princesses.

Check out the live video walk-through that we made on FaveCraft's Facebook:

Instructions:

  1. Using your scissors, cut the lace ribbon into 10” or 12” strips and lay them flat on parchment paper.

  2. Pour fabric stiffener into a small bowl. Using your paintbrush, cover both sides of the lace ribbon and let sit for 24 hours.

  3. Cover both sides with spray paint, if desired. We used Krylon glitter spray paint in gold and silver to give ours a little extra sparkle!

  4. Once the ribbon is dry, glue both ends of the ribbon together to form a crown.

  5. Voila! You’re a princess. :)

Every little girl deserves to feel like a princess in her own home. This project is so easy there is no reason that your little princess can not have multiple crowns to wear while playing dress up. Wouldn't these be great take home items for a Princess themed birthday party?

This is the easiest do it yourself crown project that I have seen. Even if you are not artsy craftsy at all you can not mess these up. The lace aisles are waiting in your local craft store. Make a crown for every day of the week for your little princess. The ladies on this video look like they had loads of fun making these.

What a cute idea. I can't believe how very easy they are to make. The directions are straight firwRd and easy as can be. You can make one in under an hour. And think about making a gold one for a little prince too. Thank you for sharing this great project.

These are so adorable! They would be so fun for a Royal wedding watch-party!

I love these and I can't wait to make them for my own little princess one day!!

These DIY crowns are adorable and so, so easy to make! They would be wonderful party favors for a princess-themed birthday party. These would also be so cute for a newborn baby girl photo shoot.
