From the Designer: "Create this magical craft fairy for your craft space! This little fairy watches over your supplies and is ready to spread a little fairy magic for those times when you feel uninspired in your studio! If you can make a ball, a bell and roll some clay you too can make this sweet fairy! All you need is a little clay, a little paint, some wire, cellophane and a little fairy dust - a recipe for a little magic!"

Materials List

  • Polymer Sculpy Clay
  • Plaid Color Shift paint
  • Plaid Glitterific paint
  • Wire
  • Cellophane
  • Small stick
  • Plaid acrylic paint - skin tone, black, white
  • Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L adhesive sheets

Instructions

  1. Make shapes out of clay: Two balls (head and hair) two long skinny rolls (arms and legs) and one large bell for the body.

  2. Arms and legs - flatten the ends of one of the skinny ropes to make hands. Form shoes or boots o the bottoms of the other rope.

  3. Carefully bend the legs and push them into the bottom of the bell- it helps to have a flat surface to place it on.

  4. Cut a slit on the top of the bell and center the arms into the slit. Carefully bend the arms into place and pinch the top together to close the slit.

  5. Take the first ball and pinch a little nose in the center, smoothing out the sides.

  6. Flatten the second ball and form this into hair on top of the head. Use scissors to cut small triangles in the bottom edge for it to lay flat. Trim any edges if necessary.

  7. Wings- draw wings and use wire to make the shape. Leave a little excess to poke into the body later. Once the shape is good place it on adhesive sheets.

  8. Take those sticky wire forms and stick it on cellophane, trim around the wings leaving about 1/4 inch around the outside.

  9. Use a heat tool to shrink it down a bit and trim if necessary.

  10. Poke the wings into the body and allow it to dry.

  11. Paint- Paint the doll.

  12. After the paint is dry add GLitterific to the air.
