Relaxing Spa Stones

Inspire yourself with these great inspirational and relaxing spa stones. With acrylic paints and a rubber stamp set you can create your own spa stones in only four easy steps. You don't have to go to the spa now.

Materials:

• STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
  • Eggs, 3", three
• Acrylic sealer (optional)
• White air-dry modeling compound, 16 oz. package
• Acrylic paints: warm white; pale purple; pale green; pale blue
• Faux glazing medium
• Lowercase alphabet rubber stamp set
• Medium flat paintbrush
• Disposable palette
• Small plastic bowl and spoon
• Water basin
• Paper towels

Instructions:

1. Press one side of each foam egg against work surface to flatten slightly. Following manufacturer's instructions, cover each egg with thin layer of air-dry modeling compound. Refer to photo to stamp words into compound; let dry overnight.
    
2. Paint eggs green, purple, and blue; let dry.
    
3. Mix equal parts warm white paint and glazing medium in small bowl; use crumpled paper towel to rub glaze/paint mixture lightly over stamped eggs. Let dry.
    
4. If desired, apply acrylic sealer to painted surfaces.
