I have been collecting buttons from articles of clothing that are no longer good for anything other than the rag bin. Most of the buttons are really small but I believe I can use them to make a small button sewing room container to hold such notions like safety pins using this technique. I will be on the lookout for a set of buttons to make a larger vessel if the first one turns out right.

Wow! My first thought when I glanced at the picture was that the designer just glued buttons to a container. Not the case here. The container is the case. I love this. Now I have another project to add to my every growing list. My sister is lucky enough to have a room dedicated to crafts and I know she will love this.

What a super idea! I love covering things with buttons, and the epoxy works great.... This is a perfect little gift for a sewer or crafter or even a student to keep those pencils and pens in order! As an option, you could add a cross grain ribbon around the perimeter of the top, with a bow, and buttons here and there securging it to the top, and add a bow with a button in the center to tie it all together! I have a ton of buttons and this project will given them a happy home! Thanks for sharing!
