Deciding on the perfect finish for your project is difficult, but the one I continue to fall back on is satin, and the paint I always reach for is Folk Art's Satin Acrylic Multi Surface Paint. With over 120 colors, I always find what I need, and when the price is this fair, I always get what I want. This paint works on almost any surface, is great for indoors and outdoors, and is perfect for all types of techniques.
While scrapbooking, I always want to use my painting stencils. Some of them are very cute and detailed, but I get worried about my paint being too thick, too thin, or too watery. With this multi-surface paint, I don't need to think about the paint ruining the paper, and instead I keep my mind on creating gorgeous pages for my memory books. My favorite use for this paint, however, is for canvases. College students love hanging hand-painted canvases in their dorms, and the beautiful color selection and finish will provide lasting impressions on any of their friends or neighbors.
This paint is perfect to build on, but if you don't like adding coats of color, this may not be for you. I like that you can layer and layer and layer for a different look, and paints that come out super thick tend to clump up on my canvases. This paint would be perfect to add to a care package for anyone in college, especially if they are involved in organizations on campus. There is no better way to show school spirit than a hand painted sign or banner.
