This Lily Mother's Day Craft keeps your child or grandchild close to your heart while you're wearing it. Make your own lily or help a child make one as a special gift for Mother's Day. These crafts for kids use the shape of the child's hand to form the petals of each delicate flower. The only items you'll need to create this project are a safety pin, felt, and green embroidery floss. It's a quick and easy way to make a lovely homemade Mother's Day gift that will last for more than just a season.

I almost skipped right over this project. I am glad I read the directions. This little lily is made from the hand print of a child. Now that my babies are 22 and 25, I would really have a great big lily but the sentiment is so very sweet. It would be a great idea to place somewhere the year made just to remember the age of the child when created.

I love this Lily Mother's Day craft. Depending on the age of the child, a little adult assistance would be helpful but I love the idea that the petals of the lily are the child's finger tips.

These are beautiful but the kids need to be older to make these, even with help. that's okay, though, not everything has to be for preschoolers! I have an 11 year old niece who loves to do crafts and she would like this if I got all the materials together for her-which I do have.
