Materials:

  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® 2oz Multi-Surface Chalkboard Paint Acrylic Craft Paint - Classroom Green
  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® Adhesive Silkscreens - Striped Alphabet
  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® 2oz Erasable Liquid Chalk, White
  • Wood tray
  • Flat brush ½”
  • Chalk
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Water basin
  • Paper towels
  • Foam plates

Instructions:

  1. Wipe tray free of any dirt or dust.

     
  2. Apply Classroom Green chalkboard paint to inside bottom of tray. Let dry thoroughly before applying additional coats.

     
  3. Condition the chalkboard finish by rubbing side of chalk over the surface and then wiping with a paper towel.

     
  4. Cut apart alphabet screens to acquire the letters needed for your phrases.

     
  5. Space the letters where desired and tape to hold.

     
  6. Remove the backing from first letter and replace. Apply Erasable Liquid Chalk very lightly through screen. (Daub the applicator on a paper towel to remove as much paint as possible before applying through screen). Remove screen and wash immediately to prevent screen from clogging.

     
  7. Repeat process until all the letters are applied.
