Materials:
- Pumpkins
- Spray paint
- Tin foil
- Tape
- Fabric Yo Yo's
- Hot glue gun
Instructions:
- When you decide on the color scheme for your pumpkins, get some spray paint for the background. I prefer the type that's not high gloss, so try to find a satin or a matte finish if possible. Cover the pumpkin stems with tin foil and tape.
- Spray your pumpkins with your chosen colors and let them dry thoroughly.
- Pick out your yoyos in the color family to match your background color. Using a hot glue gun, glue the yoyos onto your pumpkin until it's covered to your satisfaction. You're done!

A different idea for sure to cover the pumpkins with homemade yoyo's but I would have like to see some insructions on making the yo yo's or how she glues them on . I can see leaving these out as a decoration for autumn. Good conversation piece for your office desk.

I do not see any other pictures of the fabric yo-yo pumpkins besides the tiny pic above. I suppose the entire DIY is self-explanatory for crafters! The idea is cool, and the look is country bumpkin. I think I'd choose black, purple, and orange fabric for mine to be traditional.

I don't see anywhere on this project that it is for beginners. Maybe I'm missing something but the directions seem just fine to me. But, then again I am not a newbie to crafting or crafting sites. Also, I think that if people actually read the directions before commenting, they would see this statement, "are great for fake pumpkins" and the rotting issue would be solved. As for navigating, it could be better. A Pintrest type of browsing would be cool for me, maybe not for others, but since this site is free I really can't complain.

beachblossom and karlyn both make great points who would make all those yoyos if they're going to be glued to a rotting pumpkin Well - I'm sure Mitzi means to get a realistic looking fake pumpkin from a craft supply store - but she should really say so in the pattern as well as clearly stating what size to make the yoyos and either including a yoyo tutorial or a link to one Unless this site is just for very resourceful crafts people who already know how to track down extra information and supplies like fake pumpkins there is a need here for directions that are more thoroughly written for a wide range of crafters It's not Mitzi's fault The whole site tends to have this problem as well as being one of the worst sites I've ever found for technical problems - I use it far less than I would…Read More like to because getting around the site is a time-consuming job

It would help if the directions for making yo-yos was included with these directions. How big a yo-yo did you use? Did you purchase them reday-made?

I would really like to see this project, but there is nothing there.
