Materials List

  • Wood frame
  • Folk Art Paint (black)
  • Photos
  • Cardstock
  • Letter stickers

  1. Paint the frame with black paint. Let dry completely.

  2. Arrange your photos on the front of the frame and tack them in place with repositionable adhesive.

  3. Turn frame upside down. Use a Sharpie to mark where the photos overhang into the frame's opening.

  4. Remove photos one at a time and trim any overlap, following the Sharpie line. Replace each photo with strong adhesive.

  5. Use cardstock and letter stickers to make a title for the frame. Add the date if you wish.

NotesThis project is quick, easy and inexpensive. It's a wonderful way to display photos that would otherwise sit unseen in a wallet or drawer.

This is such a clever idea, to reverse the typical from idea you see in stores with the words on the frame around the photos ... So clever to have the photos on the frame itself! As an option you could spell out your word in buttons..I have done this and it looks very artsy and whimsical! And it is fun to create! Thanks for this clever idea!
