White Rabbit Napkin Rings

Get ready for Easter entertaining with these cute White Rabbit Napkin Rings.  Made from felt and fabric, these cute little bunny ears are a breeze to make and will look so cute on your table.  This project is even easy enough for kids to do as well. 

Materials:

• Stiff felt
• Fabric in coordinating color of your choice
• Scissors
• Fabric glue
• Hot Glue
• Pen and Paper for template
• Hand drawn bunny ear template

Instructions:

1. I started by drawing a rough template of what I wanted the ear to look like. I know it’s not super fancy, but it did the trick for me! After I drew the template, I cut it out and traced it onto a piece of foam.
   
   
   
   
    
2. After the foam pieces were cut out, I started using them as my template to cut out the felt ears. I used the stiff felt so that the ears would stand up on their own. You could also use foam if you wanted to.
   
   
    
3. I then used the inside ear template to cut fabric in four different pastels to make 4 napkin rings. You could buy patterned fabric or paint designs on solid fabric…so many options!
   
   
    
4. I then went and used fabric glue to attach the fabric to the felt in the ears. From there, I cute around 5 inch long strips of the felt and about 1 inch wide and bent the bottom of my ear and glued it onto the (soon to be) napkin ring.
   
   
    
5. Here’s a sideview of how they were glued on…I just folded a little tab at the bottom under and glued it with hot glue.
   
   
    
6. When you put your second ear on it will need to be right against the first ear. At firs this won’t look right, but when you make the ring and glue it together the ears will spread out and look the way they should. So play with the positioning a bit on the ring before you make anything permanent.
   
   
    
7. Once your ears are glued down in place and dried, then you can make the napkin ring with your felt strip. I just hot glued it and then looped my white napkin through…
