Jar Fairy House
"I am a true addict of Coffee. My day doesn't start without a cup of steaming coffee. Coz of that, I do have a lot of empty coffee jars.So , i thought why not try something with those jars. I have already tried making glitter candle jars for Diwali with these jars. Do check it out here. Take your jar, wash and dry it. Mix Brown paint to the clay and roll it out according to the size of your jar. Wrap the clay around the jar. Texture the clay with your clay tool. Trace out Door and the windows. For the roof of the house, crumple the aluminium foil into a cone shape. With the help of glue , stick it on to the jar cap. Cover it up with more clay. For the door frame, roll out your brown clay. Fold in half and twist it a bit. Paste it with glue. For texturing the roof, take brown clay and roll in into a oval shape and press it. Paste it to the bottom of the roof as shown.Keep going around. Roll out more clay and paste it till you cover up the roof top. For the chimney, roll the brown clay into log shape and texture it. Paste it on top of the roof. Make foliage and flowers and paste it."

I love love love this tutorial and I am so glad to see something to do with fairy gardening. This is a super tutorial for making a fairy house using clay(which has a homemade recipe to make your own clay with easy instructions) and jars. It has very detailed instructions with step by step pictures. The houses are so expensive to buy. I wonder if you can use same technique by using plastic bottles instead so you can cut out the windows and door. I am making some of these. How about you?
