    How to Make Lavender Sachets

The smell of lavender helps to relieve stress and bring calm while trying to get to sleep. Heidi Borchers of Inspired at Home teaches us how to create our own lavender sachets to keep by the bed or even to drop in the bath. Don't forget to remove the dragonfly embellishment if using in the bath.

    Sweet Dreams Lavender Sachet

    Materials:

    • Sticker(s)
    • Aleene’s Thick Designer™ Tacky Glue
    • Toothpick
    • Tiny marble beads (no hole beads)
    • Tulle circle
    • Rubber band
    • Lavender flowers

    Instructions:

    1. Apply glue to dragonfly body area with toothpick.

    2. Sprinkle beads into glue. Set aside to dry.

    3. Place tulle circle in the flat of your hand.

    4. Pour lavender into center of circle. Remember, the more you pour, the larger the sachet! Cup your hand to bring tulle up and around lavender.

    5. Wrap with rubber band to hold in place.

    6. Loop ribbon around sachet and tie in bow to cover rubber band.

    7. Unpeel sticker from backing and stick onto sachet over bow. If desired, apply a dot of glue for added hold.

Designer Tip: For a different look, use pinking shears to cut a circle from unscented dryer sheets and fill with lavender. These are a real conversation piece!

never though about useing dryer sheets but i will try this

in answer to ppl asking about the beads...it appears that they go on the body of the dragonfly sticker...to embellish it more. the glue goes on the body of the bug and then u sprinkle the beads on it. : ) happy crafting!

Wht do you do with the marbles???? Thank you

I have done the dryer sheets sachet. I put them in my linen cupboard. Keeps everything fresh smelling. I use more spicy smells as in cinnamon, nutmeg, that sort of spices. I spray or sprinkle them in oil that matches let them sit in a close jar for a day and then put in the dryer sheets. Just personal preference on scents.

can you give instruction as to what you do with the beads, after they dry,and if they are put in a container or if you put them on something.before they dry, and what do you do with the tiny marble beads are they what you put in the glue? Thank You !

This is great idea for a gift for someone that has everything...Thanks
