    Turn a simple tin container into a fashionable, rose-covered box with image templates.

    Materials:

    DecoArt Products Required
    Laurie Speltz's Instant Images

    • IIJ03 - Swirls & Flourishes Journal Template
    • IIT05 - 1 Short Liner Brush
    • IIT06 - 3/8 in. Duo Tool
    • IIT07 - 1/4 in. Duo Tool

    Americana Acrylics

    • DAO31 - Baby Pink
    • DAO64 - Burnt Umber

    Americana Writers

    • DAW250 - Bubblegum Pink


    Supplies

    • Patterned scrapbook paper
    • Adhesive
    • Ribbon
    • Square tin container with lid


    Instructions:

    1. Cut paper to fit box and adhere with adhesive.
    2. Dry brush Burnt Umber at edges to create inked look.
    3. Pounce shapes into place with Baby Pink.
    4. Use short liner brush to create dash lines around bottom edge. (Make sure to dilute paint to ink consistency when using liner brush.)
    5. Add dimensional dots and lines with Bubblegum Pink Americana Writer. Let dry.
    6. Attach ribbon around box top.

    Helpful Hint
    Create top center shape on box lid by combining smaller elements to make larger shape.

    On a post elsewhere in the tie-dye section I commented that there was no final product pix. Here we have the pic, but no photos of the steps taken. . . which would have been nice.
