Ornate Red and Gold Christmas Ornament

Materials:

• Dazzling Metallics in Splendid Gold
• Dazzling Metallics in Festive Red
• Craft Twinkles Writer in Christmas Red
• Craft Twinkles Writer in Black
• 1/2" flat brush
• 3/4" and 3/8" round foam pouncer brushes
• Foam plate
• Ornament hanger
• Paper towels
• Turquoise glass ball ornament

Instructions:
If ornament does not have a wire hanger, it will be necessary to attach one to hang ornament as it dries. Hold ornament at cap area when painting exterior surface. It may help to insert wire hanger for more secure grip.

1. Using flat brush, apply Splendid Gold in cross-hatch pattern over ornament surface. Let dry.
    
2. Using large pouncer and Festive Red, paint band of dots around center of ornament; paint one dot at bottom center. Let dry.
    
3. Using small pouncer brush and Splendid Gold, paint band of dots above and below Festive Red dots. Paint Splendid Gold dots overlapping where edges of Festive Red dots meet. Let dry.
    
4. Using Christmas Red Craft Twinkles Writer, paint dot at center of each Splendid Gold dot on bands and scallops around top and bottom of large Festive Red dots.
    
5. Refer to photo for placement. Using Black Writer, paint dots at centers of Splendid Gold dots on Festive Red band and between dots on Splendid Gold dot bands. Paint lines above Black dots on upper Splendid Gold band to base of cap. Paint lines between Splendid Gold dots on Festive Red band; paint lines above and below Splendid Gold dots on Festive Red band to edges of Splendid Gold dot bands. Paint lines below Black dots on lower Splendid Gold dot band to edge of Festive Red dot at bottom; paint dot at center of Festive Red dot on bottom. Let dry.
