Materials List

  • Prima Products:

    • Finnabair - Art Basics Gesso (white)

    • Finnabair - Art alchemy Metallique Paints (steampunk copper, light patina, silver spoon)

    • Finnabair - Opal Magic Paints (green-gold, blue-gold)

    • Finnabair - Mechanicals - Metal Shapes (hearts, stars, clocks, gears, labels)

  1. First Mona coated the glass jar and lid with a layer of gesso. This provides a matte finish with a bit of "tooth" for other paints to adhere to.

  2. Next she layered Opal Magic and Art Alchemy paints, adding cheesecloth in between colors for texture.

  3. This gorgeous finished jar is perfect for storing secrets inside, or remove the lid and use it for paintbrushes, and other items!

That is so very pretty. I hope I can do this and it turns out as well.

This will a good gift I will give to my father

Oh my goodness, this jar is AMAZING! My mind is going totally crazy with ideas for certain special folks in my life. The jar in the picture caught my eye immediately. Each jar would be so easy to unique. I can't wait to start making up several. I think the hunt for uniquely shaped jars will be fun also.

I would give it as a gift.

Ohhh!....I would love to make this glass jar for my friends but I know it will likely stay in my house lol .......I LOVE It!

I love it. I think I would have to make 2 or 3 some to gift and for sure keep 1 for myself.

If I could make something this pretty, I'd gift it to someone special.

I would make two - one to gift one to keep - so pretty!
