If you love the look of knit projects but far prefer to crochet, make the Knit Look Cowl Crochet Pattern. This beautiful cowl is made using the half double crochet stitch in a unique way to get the gorgeous knit look. Known as the camel stitch, it is achieved simply by working half double crochets into a different loop. Use bulky yarn to work up this project quickly. The coziest projects are often the most fun to make, and with thick yarn you'll have this cowl ready to wear in no time. Get that instant satisfaction by making a crochet cowl in just one sitting.

Can this really be made in an evening? It's gorgeous! I don't know how to crochet, but I've noticed some of the local stores offer crochet classes. I love cowl scarves made out of chunky yarns. The yarn is so fun to work with, but only if it doesn't have any wool in it. Wool yarn makes me itch!

I love this idea! Knitting never really clicked for me, but I love to crochet, so this project is a great compromise. It would make a great last-minute holiday gift, too.
