This beginner striped scarf crochet pattern uses elegant, neutral hues with fringe detailing for the perfect cold-weather accessory. If you're in need of a new scarf for everyday wear during the cooler months, this is a big, cozy pattern with a nice drape. Featuring worsted weight yarn in seafoam, gray, and black, this easy pattern will help you practice color changing!

The stitches you need to be familiar with are double crochet and half double crochet. These are two of the most popular stitches in crochet, and by working long rows of these stitches, you'll become familiar with them in no time at all! Learn how to make fringe as well to give the scarf a classic, completed look. This is a wonderful vertical striped crochet scarf, so start today!

NotesNote: To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Cut old color.
