Dream Bracelet

search

From the Designer: "Here is some jewelry that is bound to stand out! Are you the dreamer or are you the one who encourages everyone around you to dream? Whichever it is, this bracelet will certainly be a conversation starter! You can pick up a bracelet at a thrift store. It just needs to be wide enough for the word die and there are lots of word dies available! Choose the message that works for you! Keep your Dream bracelet for yourself or give it to someone to remind them to never give up on their dream."

Materials List

  • A Way With Words Dream craft die
  • Testors Craft Intense Glitter Paint
  • Pink Craft Vinyl
  • Bangle
  • Foam brush

Instructions

  1. Lightly sand the surface of the bracelet with a fine grit sandpaper.

  2. Stir the Glitter Paint thoroughly. Apply a smooth layer to the outer surface of the bracelet and allow to dry. Apply the next layer with strokes at 90 degrees from the strokes on the first layer. Repeat until you have the coverage that you want, allowing each layer to dry between coats.

  3. Die cut “Dream” from craft vinyl. Peel release paper from the back of the die cut vinyl and apply the word by laying down the middle part of the word first and carefully smoothing the letters outward onto the surface of the bracelet. Make sure you don't distort the diecut! Alternatively, you could use cardstock and glue it to the bracelet.

  4. That’s it! Now make another! Maybe use a different word....

NotesFor a bit of extra glitz, you might want to add an additional thin layer of glitter paint over the word. Beautiful!
