This book covers the variations on 3-seam squares. McNeill is an expert to learn from and the squares include Starburst, Solar Winds, Oasis, Large Sampler, Garden Delight, and Pom Pom de Paris. The detailed photography inspires and the colors just pop off the page. Illustrations take you step by step through the process. Information included covers rotary cutting, sewing basics, binding, layering, and basic quilting by hand quilting or machine quilting. The publisher has a large library of quilting books and this is one I highly recommend for any quilter’s stash!

This would be a perfect book to start out since I'm a newbie in quilting. I love the illustrations and the directions are easy for me to follow. Hope I win this book contest! :)

With fibromyalgia and arthritis, I use crocheting to loosen up my stiff fingers in the morning. I've always wanted to make afghans from squares, but couldn't find anything quick in the way of patterns. Ten minutes is a wonderful time for someone like me. I would love this book!

I would love a book that would show me many different types of blocks to make and I would probably make a sampler of all of them in a blanket. I wish I could afford this book, but I am disabled and am anable to afford anything:)
