OMG, what a great idea and a great way to use up old dishes.

It is so pretty! But it says to glue one smaller plate to a slightly larger plate that complements it...however, I do not see that on the picture above. Also, she's got a pretty gossamer ribbon tied on there, so don't forget that in the instructions and the supplies list. I am sorry if I am missing something here, no offense to the crafter who's idea this is.

This is such a cute and unique idea! I would have never thought to do this, and the video tutorial makes it so easy to follow along!

Looks like a fun project... Can't wait to try it.. Video was great.. I'm hosting a baby shower in April.. I plan to create a couple of these cuties... Thanks

What a show stopping piece, I am head over heels in love with this cake stand! My Mam has loads of them vintage plates up in the attack just catching dust, it would be great to do this with some of them! A great little present idea... You could even paint the glass to give it a bit more of a personal touch

This is a brilliant idea. I have lots of old plates, that were passed on to me by my grandmother, and they're just hidden away in boxes. I've never been sure what way to display them, but this is ideal because, not only can they be displayed, but these stands are also useful. I especially love the fact that they can be dismantled, depending on the type of adhesive used.

I have never thought of doing this, what a great way of passing on a family heirloom. I have a few dishes that have been passed down from different relatives that I never seemed to have a use for because they never seemed to go with anything. Now that problem is solved. Now, not only do I have a use for them, but I can turn them into wedding presents or anniversary presents for family members. Attach a family story with each newly created cake plate, and pass it on.

Wow you really have some super great ideas and that would be so super neat to give a family story with the vintage plate cake stand. I know someone will enjoy receiving one of these for a gift and it would also be fun to put it on your table for that Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner or get together and tell your story behind the plate. I think you can even make some out of the smaller plates if you have those and put hors d,oeuvres on them. Have you made any yet?
