Our seven year old grand daughter who we adopted was in a programme at school The teacher wanted the parents to provide aprons and a chefs hat for the children I'm not very good at crafts but I bought two tea towels and some ribbon cardboard and fabric glue etc to make the apron and chefs hat First I folded the tea towel for the apron in a triangular shape for the bib part of the apron I sewed them without cutting the tea towel Then I used the ribbon for the top part of the apron to go around the neck and the waist I sewed in on the edges For the hat I got a length of cardboard and made it into a cylinder to fit Melody's head Then I cut out a circle for the top of the chefs hat also out of the other tea towel I…Read More cut the circle a little bigger for the top of the hat wrapped a rectangular shaped piece around the cardboard cylinder and glued them into place I took the nice pattern off the bottom of the tea towel I used and made a nice border on the chefs hat The teacher at the school raved about Melody's cute outfit It was so easy too
