Time for Tea Invitation and Card
This embellished card is perfect for inviting the gang over for tea or creating personalized cards or thank you notes for friends.
Materials:
- 4" x 5 1/2" light green card and matching envelope
- 4" x 6" Treasure Tape sheet
- Diamond Beadlets®
- Kreinik #12 Braid 001J Japan Silver, 3215 Peridot, 086C Fern
- Teapot rubber stamp
- Black stamp pad
- Shallow pan or tray
Steps:
- Remove the red liner from the Treasure Tape sheet. With the black ink, stamp your image directly onto the tape. Replace the red liner. Then cut out your image, leaving just a 1/8" border around the stamped lines.
- Remove the white backing from your image and lay it centered on the front of your card. Peel off the red liner to expose the top sticky part.
- Begin thread decorating by laying rows of #12 Braid in the various areas of the rubber-stamped image. Press the thread into the tape to make sure it adheres. Use our photo as a guide for color placement, or create your own pattern.
- When thread decorating is complete, lay your card in a shallow pan and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets.
Kreinik threads available through needlework stores or www.kreinik.com.
