In the Designer's Words: "In the hands of a crafter, things aren't always what they appear to be! This is especially true with a project that combines Faux Finish Mixed Media Stamping Techniques on terra cotta with coloring book pages that have been colored, cut and used in a whole new way! With just acrylic paint, common craft stash items and a few easy techniques, people of all skill levels can easily create a decorative terra cotta pot that can be used for plants or as a kitschy pen holder! So, get your craft on and get ready to transform an ordinary garden item and coloring book pages into something extraordinary and worthy of display or gifting. Use your project as a flower pot for real or artificial plants OR use it to organize items such paintbrushes, pens, markers, cooking utensils...and more!"
Terra cotta pot crafts are some of the most popular garden crafts out there. These helpful little clay pots are perfect for planting, because they are waterproof and designed with a helpful hole at the bottom to drain out excess water. The only issue is, sometimes that red clay color does not match your home. This is why decoupage ideas like these Decoupaged Flower Pot Crafts are the perfect solution. Transform these flower pots with the pretty colors of paint and coloring book pages.

Terra cotta pot in size of your choice
2” x 5” corrugated cardboard scrap, folded in1/2” accordian-style folds and secured with rubber band to form a stamping tool
Paint pot with Evergreen; dry.
Place hand inside plastic bag. Squeeze a dime-size dollop of Turf on the outside of the bag and squeeze with index finger and thumb to evenly distribute. Dab paint onto pot, adding more paint as needed.
Squeeze a dime-size dollop of Turf and Lime onto the palette. Without mixing, brush both colors onto the textured side of the bubble wrap. Using the bubble wrap as a stamp, press against the sides of the pot to imprint the pattern. Remove and press again in another spot. Continue stamping, applying additional paint to bubble wrap, as needed. Dry.
Squeeze a dime size dollop of Black and Caribbean Blue onto palette. Press one short folded edge of your folded cardboard tool into the Hooker’s Green and stamp along the pot’s rim. Pressing and stamping one color at a time, repeat with the remaining colors. Dry.
Holding a textured button by the shank, press into black and imprint dots or other patterns on the pot, as shown. Dry completely.
Cut out flowers and other designs of your choice from coloring book pages. Spray with Bright Pink. Paint the petals with White and Hooker’s Green as desired. Dry.
