Hand Knitted Infinity Scarf

New to knitting? This hand-knit scarf is made with Bernat Mega Bulky Yarn and can be completed in under 2 hours, no needles needed! Great for kids and adults of all ages, this finger-knit scarf is great for year-round warmth and comfort. Use it as a fun accessory in the spring and summer or wrap it around your neck a couple times for a cozy and warm winter scarf. Knitting has never been easier or more fun than this Finger Knit Bulky Scarf!


Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)

Gauge stitches, rows, inches.

Materials List

  • Bernat Mega Bulky Yarn
  • Scissors


  1. Tie tail around the thumb. Go behind the index finger, under the back of your middle finger, over your ring finger, and under your pinky.

  2. Wrap around the back of hand and in front (palm).

  3. Start the Weave---Pull the first wrap over the second wrap and over the pinky, repeat on the ring finger, repeat on the middle finger, and the index finger.

  4. Wrap around the back of hand and in front (palm).

  5. Then repeat the weave until you have desired link.

  6. Finish by taking the loop from pinky, and put it on ring finger. Pull the bottom loop up from ring finger and over to the back of hand. The loop from the middle finger and put in on the index finger. 

  7. Finally, remove the index finger do not let go of the loop.  Cut the end of the yarn at about six inches, put it through the loop and tie off. Tie the ends together and weave the tails in the scarf!

This is so easy to make. My 7 year old loves to finger knit scarfs, I cant wait to have her try it with this type of yarn. I think that I want to try this in a bright spring color as it is perfect for warmer spring days.
