By: Georgina Javie for Provo Craft

Learn how to make a mobile from die-cuts using these Cricut project ideas. The flying airplanes mobile would look great in a baby's bedroom, and children can continue to love it as they grow.

Flying Airplanes Mobile

  • Cricut Expression® Personal Electronic Cutter with Plantin SchoolBook and Accent Essentials® cartridges [290300]
  • Cricut® Lite B is for Boy cartridge [2000159]
  • Cricut® Cuttables Vinyl, Peacock Blue [290483]
  • Cricut® Cuttables Vinyl, Ruby Red [290484]
  • Heavy vellum paper
  • Ribbon: red patterned, blue sheer
  • Clear beading string
  • 7" Embroidery hoop (part without clamp)
  • Glue gun

  1. Adhere string to embroidery hoop so several strands hang down. Tie a loop in blue sheer ribbon and adhere to embroidery hoop to create hanger as shown. Adhere red patterned ribbon around hoop as shown.
  2. Cut planes. Using B is for Boy cartridge and vellum, cut fourteen 3" <Plane>. Using Ruby Red vinyl, select Layer feature and cut seven 2" <Plane>. Repeat cuts using Peacock Blue vinyl. Layer together as shown. Adhere planes to strings.
