Materials List

  • White paper bags
  • Red, white, and blue washi tape
  • Red cardstock cut into a circle
  • Silver metallic pipe cleaners
  • Star stickers
  • Scissors
  • Candy
  • Adhesive

Instructions

  1. Cut off the bottom of the bag and down the sides so you wind up with about a 9x9" square.

  2. Tape the long ends of the bag together to form the rocket so there are openings at both ends.

  3. Using alternating colors, add strips of washi tape around the bag until you've covered the entire bag.

  4. Next, add the star stickers all over.

  5. Tightly twist one end of the bag, then wrap tape around the end to secure it.

  6. Fill the bag with treats, then tightly twist the other end and tape it to secure as well.

  7. To make the rocket topper, cut halfway into the red paper circle until the point of your scissors reaches the center of the circle. Use the center as a point, and overlap the edges of the circle to make a cone. Hot glue it to one of the closed ends of your rocket.

  8. Add silver pipe cleaners to the other twisted ends of your bag and you're done!
