Give your champagne flutes an upgrade with this quick and easy tutorial. These DIY Decorative Champagne Flutes are insanely easy to create using just some paper doilies and Mod Podge.

We used gold doilies to keep things elegant (hello, wedding season!), but you could any color doily you want for a customized look. Red, white, and blue would be fun for 4th of July cocktails, or use pink doilies for feminine mimosas on Mother's Day!

Materials List

  • Paper doilies in your color of choice
  • Champagne glasses or other stemmed cocktail glass
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • Paintbrush

Instructions

  1. Using your scissors and your doily, cut a round circle a little bigger than the round base of your glass.

  2. Turn your glass upside down and place the doily color side down so the white backside is facing up.

  3. Using your paintbrush, brush a thin layer of Mod Podge. And don't worry about it looking white; Mod Podge dries clear!

  4. Let it dry for 24 hours.

  5. Once it is completely dry, use your scissors to trim any edges.

These are so pretty! They would be a great bridal shower gift!

Champagne glasses look better with lace. It's almost like their from a renaissance themed party. I just had a fabulous idea for such kind of parties and with this tutorial, you could wow your guests. All this is done with some mod podge and paper doilies, just the right amount of dazzle.
