My husband will love this hat! I like the way the pattern is written and looks like it will work out nicely. This will be a warm hat for the cold Michigan winter days and nights. I love the colors in this Retro Stripe Hat pattern. This is on my to make list for this winter. Thank you for this free pattern.

These are "Never before seen" patterns yet there are comments going back to 2009??

First time I've ever seen this pattern. I have one very similar on youtube with step by step, round by round turtorial and free downloadable written instructions for my pattern. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3sre1Nz4XE&feature=youtu.be dianelangan.com

The problem is, on Line 19, after "double crochet of" there is an unintended end of sentence. It should read as follows: Round 19: Ch 3, skipping all Front Post double crochet of Round 18, double crochet in each double crochet around; join with slip stitch in top of beginning chain 70 double crochet. Round 20: Repeat Round 18. Round 21: Chain 1, skipping all Front Post double crochet of previous round, slip stitch in each double crochet around; join with slip stitch in beginning chain. Fasten off.

I am was working on this pattern only to find there is a problem with the instructions. After the first Round 18 the instructions are confusing. The Round 19 line is incomplete, then there is another Round 18 that is not the same as the first Round 18 instruction line. It then jumps to Round 20 that instructs me to repeat Round 18 -- which Round 18 instruction. Please help as this is wonderful hat so far and I would love to finish it for a charity group that I am crocheting for.

The question about round 19, 18, and 20 looks to me to mean this... 'after' round 19 in the directions, the wording (round 18 etc) is part of the directions for round 19 (not another round 18) then after Round 20 you do repeat round 18. Does this make it more clear? That's the way I understand it. Joyce B.

After round 19, there is round 18 and then round 20 says repeat round 18 - pls clarify.
