I really like the pattern. I have a few projects under my belt and I believe that I can pull this off. Hardest decision, what color?

Although the finished shawl is quite impressive, I do not think I could read this pattern for any length of time before going bonkers. Wow, that is a long, long pattern to read, row by row! That is something that I steer clear of. No offense to the designer. But you must have a ton of patience.

If I didn't know better, I would say this Cabled Shawl Crochet Pattern is actually knitted. I love the texture and the color choices for this article of clothing. However with this project being labeled as intermediate (more live advanced) I don't think I will be adding this to my wardrobe.

I believe some of the pattern is missing. Under "Striped Pattern" Direction is given for row 1 and all odd-numbered rows. what about row and so on??

yes, I am seeing the same thing. Where are the instructions for the even numbered rows on the striped section? From the looks of it, it repeats the same as odd, but I can't be sure. There also appears to be a border, which isn't included in the instructions.

This shawl is absolutely gorgeous! The colors are also pretty amazing. I wouldn't change a thing. Now, if only I can convince my friend to make it for me because it looks like it might take some time to complete.

I'm in love with this pattern!! Gorgeous colors, gorgeous cut, just absolutely beautiful. I feel like I should be walking around the Irish countryside in this shawl!
