Embossed Look Fish Magnets

Do you like working with alcohol inks? Make your own Embossed Look Fish Magnets from Heidi Borchers and experiment with this fun medium! Use a vintage technique to create a modern craft that is sure to add color and fun to your space.

Embossed Look Fish Magnet

  • Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
  • Aleene’s Magnetic Tacky Tape or Aleene’s Magnetic Tacky Dots
  • Aleene’s Spray Acrylic Sealer (gloss or matte)
  • Cardboard (I used cereal box cardboard)
  • Pencil
  • Fish pattern
  • Scissors
  • Spray paint – flat white
  • Alcohol inks
  • Small paint brush

  1. Transfer fish pattern to cardboard. Cut out along pattern line.

  2. I like to use a tape tip in order to create a narrow line of glue. Click for tutorial. Draw along the entire outside of fish and on inside pattern lines with Aleene’s Tacky Glue.
