"Lately, I've found myself becoming more and more obsessed with color blocking. It looks so modern and is a great way for me to combine colors in my patterns. Since I've been on the color block bandwagon, I was inspired to make this adorable Color Block Bag. I absolutely love making accessories because they're the perfect way to punch up any outfit. What better way to combine my love of color and accessories than with this little bag? This bag is the perfect size for an everyday bag. It's small and convenient to carry around while still being roomy enough to fit all of your essentials."

NotesThis tote is made using the single crochet stitch around the top of the tote and the Suzette Stitch for the rest of the tote.

This color block bag is really pretty. There is a lot of texture on this bag. I would not have selected the colors shown but I must admit the colors go well together. Lastly, I would not consider this a market bag because of the strap. With all of my groceries I would have this bag stretched to the limit in no time.

Just the other day I was gifted an abundance of yarn from a friend that was doing a little spring cleaning. I told her that she may regret her decision to get rid of all of the yarn but she assured me that she would not be picking up another needle. I think this may be the perfect thank you gift to her for the supplies. I hope that she will love it.

I thought the Suzette stitch was a single and a double in succession, but here I find out that I am supposed to be skipping a space in between. I learned something today! -) The slightly longer length of this tote gives it a great look, and the special corded handle looks so modern. Anyone have a suggestion for a good substitute for the Cascade yarn used here? Thanks!
