I have never used cotton yarn to make a hat before, but I think I am going to try this pattern. The pattern is really easy to follow, and I love the pictures of how it is supposed to turn out. I just hope mine turns out as beautiful as this one. My sister is having her first baby in October, and this would be a great baby shower gift.

This is a perfect pattern. It works up quickly and you can use up skeins of your cotton. I love to donate my work. Everything is made with love, and to know they are on a precious little one being a warrior is extra special

I don't work in cotton yarn all that much. I have only used it for tote bags/market bags and coasters. In my experience there's not much stretch to cotton yarns, but they do hold color very well...nice and saturated. I love this little beanies for the preemies. What a great charity project idea for the babes in the NICU.
