Crochet Afghan of Many Colors

"This crochet afghan pattern is guaranteed to bust your yarn stash tremendously. Not only is it a unique afghan that absolutely no one else will have, but it's also a no-brainer to crochet. The result is a beautiful striped afghan that will keep you warm all winter long. If you have a lot of yarn, the only cost to make this will be your time and a 12 mm crochet hook, if you do not have one already."

NotesNote: The hook size is 12 mm or US O/17

Easy

Crochet GaugeApproximately 8 stitches and 8 rows equal 10 centimeters or 4 inches

Finished SizeApproximately 130 x 180 centimeters or 47 x 71 inches (but can be made any size)

Quick question here, where exactly does one get a size 12 crochet hook. I have been a student of the art of crochet for 62 years and I have never seen a size 12 hook. I have 11, 13, 15, P, Q, S as well as all of the basic one B though K but I have never seen a size 12 ? Where can I get one. Thanks.

Hi there! Clover Needlecraft makes a 12mm crochet hook that's available on Amazon and at JoAnn fabrics. It's called the Amour crochet hook. I hope that helps!

I like the colors used in this afghan of many colors. OMG. It looks so elegant on that sofa. It's an interesting conversation piece. I looove the color scheme.

It seems that by looking at the picture, I can see a fair amount of picking yarns that were similar in color and tone. You may want to stick to doing that if you want a finished afghan that will match or coordinate with your home decor and to make it look fairly more upscale, as well! If you desire a true "scrapghan" then feel free to use every color in your stash. It'll be interesting and creative!

This project is SO gorgeous! Scrapbuster projects can have questionable results sometimes, but the idea to crochet this with several yarns at once really makes it turn out so beautifully! I love it!
