  1. Fill your bottle cap or button back with a generous amount of glue.
  2. Spoon in glitter/bead mixture of your choice and tap into glue with the back of your spoon.
  3. Dump out excess and let dry.
  4. Make several so you have them at a moments notice for cards, collages etc. These also would be ideal for flower centers or what ever your heart desires!

Here’s a couple of the “Sun Goddess” pages. I made 31 one of them and each one is slightly different. Almost hated to give them up!

This is “Swirling Suns”. A fabric, fantasy film and glitter collage I did with the filled button backs, they're perfect.

I'm so glad I ran into this craft. The steam punk theme works best with buttons like these ones. The best part is you can make them using some bottle caps and some buttons and glitter. Thanks to he other comments I have uses for all these buttons.

How could I never thought of this? This is very unique. I see buttons all over the house and I just throw them. Now I can use them for this project, or maybe there are more projects using buttons.

I like these crafts that leave the door open to many different uses, not just one. Here is an idea that I came up with How about making your glitter bottle caps or buttons, and then taking bakery twine from Michaels and stringing the baubles on the twine? It will make a very crafty, artsy, and unique tree garland!

What a fun way to upcycle bottle caps and other things. Wouldn't these look interesting glued close together in a picture or mirror frame, or even glued in a row on a ribbon to hang a picture. Add a clip to the back of several joined together to make a brooch, or add earring clips to the back of a set for some fun glam earrings! Fun idea and so easy to make too! Hmm, how about using two contrasting glitter colors to make a checker set?

I think these are gorgeous and want to give this a try. I love finding ways to create my embellishments with recycled materials. I think I might paint the caps with metallic paint before adding the glitter and beads. Any ideas? Also, what type of glue do you recommend using?

I agree these are so stunning and will make some great embellishments for cards, scrap booking, hair bows, jewelry making and many more things and I also like that you can recycle things. Have you made anything with them yet? I can see making these as you want and leaving them in a jar to show them off. I would like to paint mine first too so you can see some color. I would use E6000 that is usually what is recommended but sometimes I just use hot glue for attaching things. I like the pearly paints. I may even try this on a regular button and then sew on a garment like a purse or a fake button up blouse. I can see some fun here.

Thats really stunning. How do you post these tutorials? I have submitted few projects, but I don't see them anywhere in the post.

Hi Amy, if you submit your tutorial to us via the Submit Your Project link at the top of the page, we have it. It can take some time for us to approve projects and get them on the site, but we will notify you as soon as it happens. Thanks for your patience! - Julia from FaveCrafts

Cute idea but what are button backs? There is no step that says what to do with the button backs. Where would you buy button backs?
