"Everyone does their best to make a Holy First Communion a day to remember. Make a lasting memento for the communicant with the help of this DIY project. Fill the mini album with your favorite photos of the communicant and write a personal text. Choose your favorite scrapbook paper. For this project, we used our own Florence cardstock in combination with Kaisercraft scrapping paper. Decorate the project with ribbon, feathers and die cuts. Give the communicant a treat with this original and personal gift!"

  • Kaisercraft Sage and grace double-sided 12x12" pink peony
  • Kaisercraft Sage and grace double-sided 12x12" thoughts
  • Kaisercraft Sage and grace double-sided 12x12" blossoms
  • Kaisercraft Sage and grace double-sided 12x12" granite
  • Kaisercraft Sage and grace double-sided 12x12" dainty
  • Kaisercraft Sage and grace double-sided 12x12" render
  • Ribbon 10m 26mm

Instructions

  1. Cut the white cardstock to the following sizes: 14x20cm (twice), 15x30cm, 11x20cm, 13x18cm and 10.5x9cm.

  2. The white cardstock forms the basis for this album. Score all the sections and stick them together as shown in the line drawing (see page 3).

  3. Choose some pretty scrapbook paper and cut it to the following sizes: 12.5x19.5cm (twice), 13.5x19.5cm (four times), 9.5x19.5cm (twice), 12.5x16.5cm (twice) and 10x7.5cm (twice).

  4. Stick the pieces of scrapbook paper to the white cardstock as shown in the line drawing.

  5. Decorate your album with attractive figures and texts.

  6. Punch out two tags with the Vaessen tag punch.

  7. Punch out a cross in the desired color and stick it to the front of the album. You can also decorate the cross with a sticky-back pearl.
     

  8. Fold up your album and tie a lace ribbon around it with a bow. Push some feathers under the ribbon and if you wish, you can decorate them with sticky-back pearls.
