Instructions:
-
Cover your work surface with newspaper or craft paper. Spread a package of Diamond Tech's Tumbled Glass on top of the paper and separate them into piles according to size – small, medium and large.
-
Now it is time to play! I generally find that one small and one large piece of tumbled glass looks best. Choose unusual colors to go together, like brown and green.
-
Find the flat sides of each piece and place them next to each other. Should the pieces not fit tightly, use a metal nail file or diamond file to rub until flat. Don't glue the pieces together yet. I like to assemble my pendant first, then glue.
-
To add character, use bits of a colorful broken bottle or other glass to add to your pendant. Feel free to use a wheeled glass nipper and nip glass into a shape to enhance your pendant design. You can also use wire to create design elements such as a spiral. Add beads to your wire for depth.
-
Once you are pleased with the dynamics of your pendant, use glass adhesive such as E-6000® to adhere the pieces together. Allow the adhesive to properly dry following the manufacturer's directions.
-
When completely dry, affix a Fashion or Art Bail from Diamond Tech to the back of the pendant. Allow drying.
- Once dry, slip pendant on your favorite chain or choker.
