Yar!  If ye are celebratin' a pirate birthday, you must include this Birthday Bash Banner from Craftwell!  This cute pirate themed DIY paper bunted banner is great for a little boys' pirate party...and you can even customize it to say whatever you'd like!  There are even some 3D elements to the banner to really make it stand out.  This is one party decoration that you'll find yourself using again and again!

Birthday Bash Banner

Materials:

  • eBosser Automatic Embosser & Die Cutter
  • White Cardstock
  • Patterned Paper
  • Sizzix Layered Banner Die
  • Sizzix/Tim Holtz Styled Labels Die
  • 4” QuicKutz Pinwheel Die
  • Sizzix Nested Hanging Stars Die
  • Cuttlebug Beware Die
  • Circles and Clouds Cardstock Punch-Outs
  • Glue
  • Twine
  • 1” Hole Puncher

 

Instructions:

  1. Use the Sizzix Layered Banner Die with white American Crafts paper for the larger piece.Then cut the next size down using the Echo Park and Crate patterned paper. The white will be the back layer and the patterned paper will be the top layer. Create as many times as desired.
     
  2. Use the Sizzix/Tim Holtz ‘Styled Labels’ die to create the pieces behind “Happy Birthday.”
     
  3. Cut the pinwheels from the 4” QuicKutz ‘Pinwheel’ die. Glue them down and finish them off with stars cut from Sizzix’s ‘Nested Hanging Stars’ die.
     
  4. Punch 1” holes from a cardstock of your choice using the hole puncher. These will affix on top of your stars. Then apply Letters on top of the 1” circles to spell the childs name.
     
  5. Embellish the banner with some skulls cut from Cuttlebug’s ‘Beware’ die. Also, cut a few big stars from Sizzix’s ‘Nested Hanging Stars’ die and place the outline it in the middle (here it is behind the 4) and use the smaller stars to decorate the rest of the banner.
     
  6. Apply the circles and clouds from the ‘Cirlces and Clouds’ Cardstock punch-out where you would like.
     
  7. Apply the words “Happy Birthday” including the age and assemble banner together with twine.
