Party Card

This funky pink card is great for announcing a party, sending out invitations or thanking someone for hosting.

Party Card

Materials:

  • Blank pink card (or use cardstock)
  • Pink flowered vellum or paper
  • Cream parchment paper
  • Square punch- Whale of a Punch
  • Kreinik Iron-On Threads:6010, 6225 in #16 Braid, 6100 in 1/8" Ribbon

Steps:

  1. Punch two squares in the top of your card, so that they form one large rectangle shape.

  2. Center your parchment paper below the punched hole and attach it to your card.

  3. Iron a border around the opening of your punched window with the pink ribbon. Next add a border with the gold braid. Add a third border with your white braid. With the white, make a scallop pattern around the window, ironing only the parts of the thread that meet the white thread border.

  4. Lightly sketch the word Party in block letters over your parchment paper at the bottom of your card. Follow the pencil first with the pink ribbon, then outline with the gold braid.

  5. Cut a piece of the flowered paper and adhere it to the inside of the card's front, so that the design shows through your window.
