Decorative Stenciled Art Boot

By: Cheryl Boglioli for FaveCrafts

The Decorative Stenciled Art Boot is a unique and fun way to take something old and make it fresh. Cheryl created this decorative boot as an auction item for the St Lucie County Fire Department Lil' Feet Charity. Bring out your artistic side and be inspired by this project to create something new with Krylon spray paints.

  • 1 Roll of masking tape
  • 1  Old rubber boot
  • 1 Can each of Krylon® ColorMaster Primer in Pewter Gray, White, Ivory, Banner Red, Gloss Black, Peekaboo Blue, Sun Yellow, and Island Splash

Time to Complete: 2 hours (does not include drying time)

  1. Clean rubber boot.
  2. Spray entire outside of boot with 2-3 fine coats of Krylon ColorMaster Primer in gray.
  3. Spray random patterns of Krylon ColorMaster colors through selected stencils varying positions around boot. Allow 1 minute to dry between layers.
  4. Use Krylon ColorMaster colors in white and ivory to spray fine coats between stenciled areas. It's OK to cover stenciled area with a fine mist of ivory and white. This helps to set the stencil into the project.
  5. Repeat steps #3 & #4 until satisfied with overall design.
