How to Organize Floss by Ancilla Winters

The best way to organize floss is with 3" x 5 1/2" zip top clear plastic bags, available at any craft store.  Punch a hole in one top corner and put a piece of matte Scotch tape just under the closure.  Write the color number on the tape and put the entire skein of floss in the bag.  File in numerical order in a plastic shoe box.  When ready to use, the hole you punched lets you thread each bag onto a binder-type ring.  The floss is kept clean and protected, and you can put unused pieces and even threaded needles in the bags.

I love this idea...Will start right after this post while watching football...I happen to have all of these supplies...just no camera to photo the finished product....

I find it much easier to cut foam boards into rectangular bobbins, wind the floss & store in photo boxes with numbers listed on front of box. The bobbins hold much more & so do the boxes.

Organizing Floss - I bought the little trays that men put their nuts and bolts in that have little drawers. I have my floss on the little paper/plastic holders and are in the little drawers by color. Believe me when I say I can open my own store. I inherited floss from my mom and gram also.
