    Knitting Easy for Travel

This is something I do with my yarn for traveling or at home when I don't want the ball to roll everywhere. I save the powdered cream containers or any container that has an opening in the lid, so I can pull out my yarn from the top of the lid. I crochet in the car or train and it doesn't take up much space and the yarn doesn't tangle. I hope you can picture.

i think that is such a great tip

I have 3 coffee cans i was saving for awhile now knowing i could use them for some type of Crafting Item , but wasent sure what ... NOW I KNOW ... I think i'm gonna make a little knitted or sewn pocket to go around it maybe by hotglueing it on .. with little slots for needles and a pocket with a snap or button for buttons , stich markers ect ... such a great idea .. I knew i'd use them for somehting

HAVE YOU DONE THIS YET? IF SO SEND US DIRECTIONS AND A PICTURE PLEASE. IT WOULD HELP ME SEE IT IN MY MIND. THANKS ALOT. JOANNE

I like using the larger coffee "cans" for this. You can also keep a crochet hook, scissors, stitch holders, and other vital tools that would otherwise tend to get spread around or misplaced while you're working.

THE LARGER PLASTIC COFFEE CANS WOULD WORK GREAT TOO. LOL

Great Idea and I would imagine it's extra helpful when working with several different colors on one project!

great idea, I can definitely picture and this is a great way to keep the yarn from getting dirty as well. Thanks for the tip!
