Metallic Picture Frames Hot Glue Craft

Sometimes the best hot glue crafts are amazingly creative and simple.

Metallic Picture Frames Hot Glue Craft
Metallic Picture Frames Hot Glue Craft

If you're on the hunt for hot glue gun crafts and you need a quick and easy idea, this is the perfect project to make. Load up your picture frame with touch-friendly texture when you make this project.

From the Designer: "Turn a simple, cheap picture frame into something extra special with just a little hot glue and paint. You can then decide whether to keep these for yourself or give them away as gifts. My vote? Why not do both? It is so easy that you can whip a bunch up in no time at all."

Materials List

  • Hot glue gun (a precision tip works great for this project)
  • Glue sticks
  • Metallic leafing paint
  • Paint brush
  • Plain wood picture frame

  1. Start by applying lines of hot glue to your picture frame.

  2. Fill up the entire frame with these lines then allow to cool completely.

  3. Once cool, start applying the leafing paint to your surface with a paint brush.  The lines of glue will immediately begin to shine!

  4. Continue until your entire frame is painted.  Allow the paint to dry completely before using.
