Upcycled Mosaic Wall Planter

"Have you ever broken your favourite plate or bowl? Well, next time you do don't throw them away. Collect them until you have enough to make a gorgeous wall planter. Chipped and broken bowls and cups can be sawn in half and used as the planters. The old plates can be broken up into small pieces and used to create a stunning mosaic background for the planter. Not only does this wall planter look absolutely stunning but it costs very little to make as it is made with upcycled materials."

Materials List

This is so creative. I love the mismatched and rough look of the broken pieces that all come together and make it work. It looks as if they were thrown out and as time went by the plants grew inside them. I hate breaking my favourite pieces of dishes but if I knew I could do this I wouldn't have thrown them away.

This is absolutely stunning! I love it. I love vintage China and this is one way to display it. For my own personal taste I would use less pieces in the back, or even paint the background to make it pop more, and use the broken pieces on,y around the border as a type of frame. But that's just me. Alternatively, using less cups and just feature a ew with the broken pieces may set them off better. But all in all this is a great idea and display! Love it!

What a neat idea! I have been getting rid of broken cups and plates, so I am glad to find a craft that could use them. I will need to try this idea!
