Decorative Pebble Sphere

Materials:

  • STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
    • Balls, 5", two
  • Pebbles
  • Ceramic tile adhesive
  • Sand
  • Rubber spatula
  • Disposable container
  • Container of water
  • Natural sea sponge
  • Clean, soft rag
     

Steps:

  1. Mix small amount of sand with tile adhesive in disposable container. Use spatula to apply mixture to one area of foam ball at a time. Use hands to press pebbles into "grout."
     
  2. Let set a few minutes, then gently smooth using damp sponge. Rinse sponge often in fresh water.
     
  3. Let grout set up slightly, then wipe face of pebbles again with damp sponge. Let dry completely. Use clean, soft rag to polish mosaic pieces.

I love the look of this decorative pebble ball! My wife and I have recently moved down to the beach and this has the perfect beach feel to it! I am really thinking about buying one of these! Thanks again!

These spheres are so sleek and fabulous. I could make these so easily and put them outside. They would look great in a flower bed or a garden too. My mom would love these in her yard with the sparkly white rocks on them. I guess you could even use fish gravel to add color and pizzazz. Thanks for the ideas.
